Trouble having a good sleep at night? Try to avoid a sleeping pill as first action.

There are two types of basic problems in sleep:

One is falling asleep
The other maintaining the sleep

There are a couple of ways in which you could perhaps tackle your sleep problem:

You need to know what kind of sleep disorder you have. Is it falling asleep or maintaining sleep
What causes the sleep disorder. You need to start penning down what you have before sleep. Is it caffeine intake, daytime napping, spicy meal, wine, watching a suspense movie and so on. There is usually cause to the effect of sleep disorder. Write it down for over two to three weeks to know what is the cause. There will be some pattern that you will start to observe.
Don't stay on bed if you are not getting sleep. Don't 'try' to sleep. Tossing and turning on bed creates sleep to seep out many a times. Avoid being on bed without sleep.
Once you study your data you will be able to prepare for sleep. About 30 to 40 minutes beforehand start to prepare for sleep. This definitely does not mean you go anywhere near the bed. As per the above second point where you pen the data - you will also pen on what made you sleep. So if it is reading a book, or soft music etc. work towards it and utilize the 30 to 40 minutes beforehand in the activity.

When at work you will have seen one of your co-workers at work - superseding. What is superseding? Well it is replacing some other person with regards to authority and power. Superseding is done by one person to another and at times with aide from a third person [s]. It is usually the case when the executive goes to his / her super boss rather than the immediate boss. Super boss is the senior of the immediate boss.

Superseding is an amazing ego boost for the person who gains the authority and the one giving stands to be in good books with the person. Ofcouse it ends up being stress for the person who looses the authority.

At times it is essential to supersede for the executive when they are subjected to stress, undue pressure and general work dilemmas that boss may shower on them. However if superseding is done with purpose to undermine the immediate boss then it is not to be encouraged.

Unfortunately the super boss many a times may turn a blind eye to the fact that the superseding that is taking place is not required. The reason being is that he / she herself would require ego boost. Under these circumstances the work culture starts to fall considerably. The super boss may take to the exit route and justify this behavior as calling his / her office an open door policy. The open door policy is technically a flat office structure wherein any level executive can walk up to the top guys to talk. Well hiding behind this is a monster that one will find difficult to tame later on.

The monster is none other than de-motivation. People soon start to see things and loose interest. The monster starts to crawl and dictate terms. Your work culture slacks. People start to get disinterested. Co-workers start to either supersede for their career growth or move out.

Superseding requires to be caught when it starts to happen. The best way is to have a discussion and the super boss requires to thrash things out openly. Transparency will earn a lot of respect and motivation will build.

Having a conducive work culture requires lot of consistent work from the Human Resource [HR] Team. When your work culture is robust and strong people will genuinely have high spirits and will feel they belong to the community. However when the work culture is not too robust there will naturally be holes and hence people will start to slip out. The outcome: There will be smaller groups forming and hence separate sub-cultures will start to form. Breaking this may be difficult. One person cannot make or break a culture - ofcourse they can induce others though, and, create a collective effort.

It is hence very critical for offices and working spaces to have defined their work culture. It is critical that each person has the undertsanding very clearly. You cannot expect that the work cultures gets imbibed immediately - it takes time for a work culture to become a system and have people living by it.

There are two parts to work culture. One part is the fact that the culture framework is built and sketched out by the HR Persons. The second part is the fact that personalities within the organization build on. Now here is the catch: If people have similar attributes as per what the culture is designed then great - things will start to get enhanced in a positive way. This is the reason when you go for an interview it is important that not only the HR checks if you are the right fit but you too should check out and see for yourself if you want to be there.

The problem starts when misfitting takes place.

What you need to do is simply enroll on this site. Get yourself a blog. Write good focused content. Your blog should be 3mths old with atleast 20 good content posts on the minimum side.

The content is to be well written and keep in mind the key word optimization strategy. However it should not look over-loaded 'made for search engine' type.

Your blog is to be focused. It cannot have a run of mill kind of topics. It needs to address people who visit there. You need to keep in mind why people visit your blog and why they would re-visit your blog again. This is very important.
